2025 Snap Engineering Academy @ Snap Inc.
Description
This summer, Snap Inc. will host the 8th annual in-person Snap Engineering Academy, a hands-on, nine-week, engineering training program for 15 Los Angeles based community college students. All students will receive an academy scholarship that includes a transportation stipend for participating in the program. Each student will experience custom, technical workshops, fireside chats and mentorship with Snap Inc. team members. A final group project will culminate the academic experience. COMMITMENT: Monday-Friday: 9:30am - 4:30pm 30+ hours per week Full-time paid opportunity + transportation stipend MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Must be 18 years of age or older • Alignment with Snap Inc.’s mission, values and voice. Learn more at www.snap.com • Experienced with HTML and CSS • Experienced in computer science fundamentals in the form of on-the-job experience, coursework, or online courses • Must have examples of relevant project work (including but not limited to a personal portfolio, GitHub, etc.) • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience or exposure to data structures and algorithms, mobile development, game development, OR AR/VR. • Experience using Javascript, Python, Java, C++, or web development.
