2025 Snap Design Academy @ Snap Inc.
Description
This summer, Snap Inc. will host the 8th annual in-person Snap Design Academy, a hands-on, nine-week, design training program for 15 Los Angeles based community college students. All students will receive an academy scholarship that includes a transportation stipend for participating in the program. Each student will experience custom, creative workshops, fireside chats and mentorship with Snap Inc. team members, and sessions with L.A. artists. A final group project will culminate the academic experience. COMMITMENT: Monday-Friday: 9:30am - 4:30pm 30+ hours per week Full-time paid opportunity + transportation stipend MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Must be 18 years of age or older • Must be creative with a passion for design • Alignment with Snap Inc.’s mission, values and voice. Learn more at www.snap.com • Must have examples of your creative content (including, but not limited to, images, videos, graphics, typography, web projects, etc.) • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience or exposure to design in the form of on the job experience, coursework, or online courses in Graphic Design, Typography, Prototyping, Design Thinking, Design History, User Experience, User Interface, Web Design, Illustration, or Video Editing. • Experience with design software with layout or interface design including but not limited to: Adobe InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, AffterEffects, Premiere, Unity, Figma, Sketch or Affinity.
