Description

As the Project Manager Intern, You will work closely with the founder, other programmers, designers, and artists to bring various projects to life. Our goal is to deliver the best experiences possible within our time and budget constraints. Our environment is highly iterative, projects and hackathons are refined with our various partners. You will actively participate in our WhizGirls Academy programs. As a multi-department intern at a startup, you will complete all tasks assigned by the manager, which may include conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing email campaigns, generating sales leads, making cold calls, participating in meetings, preparing promotional presentations, monitoring social platforms, and assisting the Sales and Marketing teams wherever possible. You should be able to take instruction, but also work unsupervised when required. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. Successful candidates will also have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and social media platforms as well as understanding the value of building lasting, professional relationships with clients. Duties: • Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends. • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback. • Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content. • Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content. • Attending and participating in meetings, workshops, events, and exhibitions. • Identifying potential weaknesses and offering improvement suggestions. •Log everything learned and delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders. • Work on a new podcast- create social media postings, edit audio, research youtube *NOTE IF YOU WERE ALREADY PLACED IN A SUBSIDY POSITION (ACADEMY/INTERNSHIP). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR SUBSIDY ROLE UNTIL THE NEXT FISCAL CYCLE YEAR*
