Career Coach Role Overview: Coaches will support scholars and the Academies team. As a coach, you will work with the team to track scholar progress, support virtual academy sessions and more. **Coaches will serve as independent contractors during the duration of the program. Coach Responsibilities: Academy Scholar Support • Setting up regular check-in’s with your cohort of scholars to ensure projects are moving • Process timesheets for your cohort of scholars • Supporting the completion of program and performance evaluations for your cohort of scholars • Provide technical and administrative support to scholars. • Execute cohort activities. Academy Operations Support • Provide operational support such as managing volunteer calendar invites, creating breakout rooms, and more • Join team meetings to plan and coordinate activities with scholars. • Work with program lead to ensure information is being understood by scholars • Provide program delivery advice to program leads • Chaperoning fieldstrips weekday afternoons and weekends We’re Looking For Someone Who: • Is impact-driven and cares about expanding economic opportunity to LA’s disconnected and diverse talent • Is detailed oriented and organized • Enjoys working with students and as part of a team • Is responsible with exceptional time management skills • Enjoys being a a thought partner with a critical and creative thinking skills • Familiar with office productivity software MS Office Suite, Outlook, Google Suite, Zoom, TEAMS, Slack, etc. • Available for 20 hours per week, including Tuesday and Thursday availability between 4pm-6:60pm virtually. • Available to join Academy scholars on site visits, field trips, events, etc.; dates to be shared with advance notice. • The role is set up as a contractor role at $19hr virtually Application Steps: If you’re interested in applying for the coach position, please apply and submit 3-5 sentences on why you’d like to become an Academy coach. *Priority will be given to applicants with a LinkedIn profile*
