Description

Join CalCyber.org as a Grant Research and Grant Writing Intern and make a difference by helping our organization acquire funding for our programs that focus on ending homelessness through technology. As the Grant Research and Grant Writing Intern, you will contribute to researching and applying for grants to support our non-profit activities and learn how a top-level fundraising department operates in a tech non-profit organization based in California. Responsibilities: - Conduct research to identify potential grantors and develop a database of grant opportunities - Conduct research and gather data to support the grant proposal writing process - Assist in the writing, editing, and submission of grant proposals to ensure compliance with requirements and guidelines - Work collaboratively with other departments to gather information and align grant proposals with the organization's initiatives and strategies - Help with the prospecting and maintaining of strong relationships with foundations and other funding sources - Conduct regular follow-up activities with funders to ensure proper stewardship and recognition of their contributions - Manage and organize grant research and writing materials in Google Drive to ensure easy access for cross-functional teams Requirements: - Junior or Senior enrolled in a degree program in English, Communications, Writing, Business, or related fields from an accredited university - Excellent research, writing, and communication skills - Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team - Eagerness to learn and stay up-to-date with the funding landscape and non-profit sector - Proficiency in using productivity tools and software such as Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs Benefits: - Gain real-world professional experience in grant research and writing - Exposure to industry-standard frameworks and tools such as foundation databases, proposal templates, and grant submission platforms - Work in a supportive, fun environment with a team of professionals who share your passion for technology and making a positive impact.
